With the Brompton Standard Length Seat Pillar a PU saddle can be up to 965mm from the ground and a rail saddle (such as Vitesse or Brooks) up to 995mm high - If your inside leg is more than 32 inch (or 33 inch with a rail saddle) you almost certainly need a longer seat pillar - The telescopic pillar is best for an inside leg more than 35 inch or for a taller rider wishing to minimise the height of the folded bike.
