This natural fibre produces super soft wool with a finer-than-normal wool fibre (less than 20 microns). Merino is has excellent tensile strength, thus hard wearing, whilst being light weight and naturally stretchy. Merino also has excellent thermal properties and unlike conventional wool does not 'itch'. Merino also has excellent wicking properties which mean that it will drawn moisture away from the foot more quickly than other fibres. Merino wool is easy care - it can be machine washed and tumble dried. outer sock is nylon so it dries quick, won't absorb much water and has excellent durability calf length - 100% waterproof protection up to the calf muscle seamless technology means no bulky stitched seams The Mid Thermal Merino also uses the same high performance membrane technology as the best selling Mid Light so the wearer not only benefits from 100% waterproofness but also higher levels of breathability than are present in the standard Mid Thermal. The new Merino wool sock lining is so soft it's been likened to walking on a deep pile carpet - the pressure areas are supported and padded with the ultimate in super soft cushioning.
