Vittoria
Vittoria Pair Of 42mm Valve Extensions: Used to extend some Presta valves for use in deep rims e.g. Mavic Cosmic Carbone. A standard extension that is screwed over a standard valve does not allow the Presta safety nut to be re-tightened. This can result in a nut "rattling" during use or, more importantly, the nut can close during use which means that the tyre can't be re-inflated without removing the extension which in turn requires the removal of the tube from the rim. The Vittoria system ensures the valve core is inserted into the extension so that the safety nut can be tightened after inflation. Requires a Removable Valve Core such as on Vittoria Evo Long Valve Tubes.
