Giordana Body Clone Forma Bib Shorts: FormaRed-Carbon Bib Shorts are constructed on a curve to clone your body's natural riding position throughout a range of motion. The signature red color on the inside of the leg bands and uppers identifies this elite collection. The FR-C Bibs are constructed of two main fabrics. HC-44 is a high compression performance material. Ametista is utilized on panels at the sides and on the back of the shorts. This second fabric appears pinstriped due to the threads of carbon woven into it, which control stretch, and add strength. Ametista is also used in the bib uppers and at the cuffs. At these locations, it is backed by Antigua™ fabric to form the Aerofix Gripper System™ that keeps the garment in place seamlessly. The Antigua layer next to the skin has perforations that create air pockets and allow air to permeate. Anatomically shaped cut outs in the uppers eliminate excess fabric and conform to the body on the bike. The uppers are light and breathable as a result. No seams are used at all in the uppers, which lie completely flat and smooth against the body. Instead of stopping at the end of the straps, the Ametista uppers continue down to wrap the internal organs around the waist. Like all Body Clone level bibs and shorts, the FR-C Bibs feature the T-Select Gel OmniForm™ insert. It is formed using a high-frequency molding process that eliminates heat and thus, damage to the material, so there are no hard edges. A synthetic gel is inserted in the middle section to increase protection and reduce vibration. The pad contours to the body in motion and returns to its original shape every time.
