Sidi Ergo 2 Carbon Lite Road shoes- missing parts: In 2011, the Ergo 2 comes fitted with the new Carbon Lite Sole. The shoe is made from Hi-Tech Lorica leather and with the Soft Instep Closure System your foot will remain comfortable for mile after mile. Lorica: Lorica is a Hi-Tech leather made from the most sophisticated technology. Lorica is a combination of the finest micro-fibres ever produced. It is water-repellent, permeable to water vapour and resistant to tearing, splitting, scratching and atmospheric agents. It has a good breathing capacity. Lorica offers exceptional performances and guarantees extraordinary softness and elegance. Soft Instep Closure System: The wide, anatomical and padded strap has been reduced and coupled to soft, thermoformed material increasing comfort and performance. It distributes pressure evenly over the arch area, adjustable from both sides for perfect centering. The system elimates the need for the High Instep Extender. Used with SL and Caliper buckle straps, which are serviceable and replaceable. Tecno II System: Tecno II buckle uses monofilament line and a fine tooth ratchet for smooth adjustment and even pressure distribution. This allows frontal micrometric closure and adapts the upper part of the shoe to the shape of the foot for a customised fit. The Tecno II system is now smaller and can be replacedmore easily. Caliper Buckle: The micrometric closure called Caliper buckle is regulated by lifting the central buckle. In order to completely open, lift together both sides buckles, while to slightly loosen the closure during the race the central clip must be pushed down. High Security Velcro: The high security straps with integrated locking polymer teeth engage onto each other when the strap is closed. This feature makes the closure more secure and the strap becomes unmoveable. Adjustable Heel Retention Device: New technology for the heel cup system. The adjustable heel retention device reinforces the top of the heel cup and improves fit by closing the back of the shoe more securely around the riders ankle. The Heel Retention Device tightens the top of the heel cup so that it doesn't slip during steep climbs or sprints. It can be adjusted with two small screws that work independently from each other. For a custom adjustment turn the screw towards the + sign to tighten the device and twoards the - sign to open it. Sidi Heel: The reinforced heel keeps the foot in position and avoids the shoe being deformed by extreme performance or prolonged pressure.
