Using the Chilterns as our playground, this is going to be a great day out. Lots of long tree lined trails and some great single-track descents guaranteeing lots of fun. We also use sections of the Ridgeway which is the oldest trail in the UK. There are some great challenging flinty descents and climbs balanced with some lovely fast ridge top trails affording great views.

One of our gentler rides this one. That's not to say it's all road and boring though. With a lovely stretch along the river Wharfe, by the side of Eccup reservoir and through the grounds of Harewood House there's plenty to see. The event centre is in the tiny village of Harewood and the trails tend to be through open farmland and on good surfaces.

Starting from Gateways again, we head out into the beautiful countryside above Leeds. Here we'll ride along the banks of numerous reservoirs and streams peppering the area. These relatively flat sections are linked with climbs and descents through some remote countryside lanes to give you a rewarding day in the saddle.

After starting from the event centre, we warm you up gently on the undulating minor roads to the West of Guildford. The challenging, long climb up onto the North Downs is a great achievement with the reward of beautiful views down over the Surrey countryside. The quiet lanes at the foothills of the North Downs provide a welcome break after the climb, time for you to recover before re-ascending the Downs then a brilliant fast descent back to the event centre for a welcome cup of tea!

This is our Event Manager Deans home event so the routes are a mix of his favourite local trails and woodland. From fast, flowing tracks along the edge of the Thames to a 2 mile single-track blast through English woodlands, you'll be pleasantly surprised by what Reading has to offer. The Short route is approximately 90% Off road, with the Medium and Long going on to do many more miles of riding in the South Chilterns.

Reading is not usually thought of as a Mecca for biking, but just over the Thames lie the Southern end of the Chiltern Hills and that's where we'll be taking you for this ride. Miles of rural countryside, mostly along quiet roads will make this a good day out in the saddle. There's a few hills in the route, but these are mainly short or easy climbs unlike the steep lung busters of the North Downs!

113 mile super sportive - Looking for an extra challenge? Harder, longer and hillier than the usual Ride It! sportives, the King of The Downs Super Sportive will test your road cycling strength and endurance to the max. Taking place on Sunday the 23rd of May, the 113 mile challenge takes in over 10 killer climbs in the South East's iconic road cycling areas totalling over 9,000 ft!: The North Downs, the Surrey Hills, Ashdown Forest and the hills scattered through East Surrey & Kent. And for those looking for a shorter (but just as tough) challenge there's the 56 mile half sportive option. The route is split into two loops. The first, the 53 mile Western Loop heads north west from the event centre straight into the Surrey Hills before tackling the North Downs. Climbing 4,800ft this loop forms the half sportive distance and takes in the following climbs: Leith Hill (451ft climbing in 2.1 miles) Pitch Hill (559ft climbing in 2.1 miles) Combe Bottom (422ft climbing in 2 miles) Ranmore Common West (271ft climbing in 1.5 miles) Box Hill (567ft climbing 2.6 miles) For riders undertaking the full sportive, you'll skirt back past the event centre dropping off the half sportive riders and continuing onto the 56 mile Eastern Loop. From here the route heads south east into the Ashdown forest before tracking north to the North Downs - it's here that you'll tackle two of the toughest hill climbs including the famous Yorks Hill, home of the worlds longest running Hill Climb competition. The Eastern Loop climbs 4,200ft and takes in the following climbs: Tulleys Farm (252ft climbing in 1.8 miles) Weir Wood Reservoir (342ft climbing in 1.3 miles) The Wall (406ft climbing in 0.9 miles) Yorks Hill - Catford CC Hill Climb (394ft climbing in 1.1 miles) Titsey - Bec CC Hill Climb (386ft climbing in 0.8 miles)

The same stunning views as the off road route serve as a backdrop for these routes. As we're on roads and able to go further, we venture much deeper into the Moors. Lots of climbing and descending in isolated countryside and the fun that it brings!! There's one or two hills about this area and so we'll be bringing the length of rides down to compensate!

Using the North Downs around Dorking, this route is in another classic riding area with trails and single-track to delight everyone. Challenging, but vastly rewarding, climbs up to the viewpoints on Boxhill and, on the longer route, Leith Hill give you great views over the surrounding countryside. With nights closing in we thought a night ride might be a fun thing to do!! The route will basically be the Short route at about 12-15 miles and start times will be from 3pm until 4pm. (You'll need lights from about 3:30 in the woods!!) Reflective arrows will be in place to guide you and there will be a range of the award winning Exposure lights for hire at the event centre. Front and rear lights are compulsory for all entrants and you will be refused a ride if you do not have them.

Also included is miles of riding through the tree lined roads of the North Downs and south onto the plains below. Using the rising hills as a finishing target, we then head back onto the Downs and home.

A great day out this one. Starting from New Mills, we gain some height straight away with a road climb, sorry, but it's worth it, honest. The next off road section leads you to the beginning of the first descent which is interrupted by a road crossing and continues downwards for a total of 700ft!!!! The rest of the route follows in a similar style on mainly dry (depending on the weather!!) , hard trails through the National park. Please note: Due to the characteristics of the area, this can be a challenging route for younger riders. The short route has the same climb as the other routes to begin with and we will endeavour to give a limited amount of uplifts to those who would like them and who feel that this would stop them entering the event. We are using the Peaks National park for this event and, as the name suggest, there are quite a few climbs involved. The riding is therefore more challenging than our normal rides and due to this, we are not going to be offering the Long option for this event. Can we also recommend that you don't over-estimate the rides, 15 miles may not sound much, but a similar route in MBR was classed as a "Classic" As always, there is the option to get to the split point and decide from there, but the Medium route will involve one tough off road climb and one long road climb (Off-road option available, but may include a push!!!)

Leaving the grounds of Plumpton College, this route utilises the lovely local lanes nestled at the foot of the South Downs before a long challenging climb over the Downs themselves. The 360 degree views of rolling green hills and the open ocean are well worth the effort, as is the fast, long descent. The longer routes will include more steep climbs, including the famous Ditchling Beacon. (Although this means using a cycle lane to get back out of Brighton, but we think it's worth it!!)

The Lake District is one of the most beautiful areas of England and we are in the heart of it. The event centre is based in Coniston, just to the east of the Lake and below The Old Man. The routes are in the area between the lakes of Windermere and Coniston, with great views over the surrounding countryside. Ground conditions are generally good throughout the year so the mixture of single-track and fire roads remain rideable in all weather. Saying that, there are a few hills in the area!! This might mean some pushing for a few short sections, but generally, if you have the lungs and legs, it's all 100% rideable.
