Tufo Extreme Tyre Sealant Cycling Tufo Tufo Extreme Tyre Sealant: 1 - 3 repairs, depending on tyre diametre. A highly effective product for repair of flats of all TUFO tyres. Use only once a puncture has occurred, will deal with slightly bigger holes than the standard sealant. Tufo Tub Tape For Road Wheels Cycling Tufo Tufo Tub Tape for Road Wheels: Excellent tape for all applications, sufficient for one 28" or one 26" (ATB) rim. The Extreme tape is plastic backed and pressure activated. It is very easy to fit, but difficult to remove from the tub. The tape is excellent for tough applications like track sprints or cyclocross use. However, Tufo only guarantee proper adhesion of their own tubs, due to the fact that other manufacturers use the old-fashioned method of stitching (which reduces the contact surface) and some also treat the base tape. Tufo's Tub Tape (see image below) Tufo have developed special double sided tubular gluing tape for installing on their own tubulars on any tubular rim. This tape is very different from all the similar products on the market. When using the tape, installation of the tubular is fast, safe and very clean. Right after the installation, your wheels are ready for riding, no need to wait for the glue to set. 1. The tape consists of a few layers, every layer has its function with its own specific rim side and tyre side. 2. Active white strip on the tyre side is absorbed into the tubular base tape resulting in a perfect tubular rim bond. 3. Due to the protective plastic film, the tubular is easily installed and centred on the rim. The film is pulled out from underneath the tubular after installation. Thinner tread also lowers rolling resistance while the tyre is maintaining ideal shock absorption properties and high puncture resistance. How Does the Tubular Clincher Tyre Work? When inflated, the tubular clincher (see image below), in the same way as a tubular, is pressed towards the rim. Simultaneously, the bead blocks of the profiled rubber band spread out embedding on the rim shoulders and eliminating any rotation of the tubular clincher against the rim as well as the possibility of the tubular clincher unseating. As the tubular clincher is inflated, the band side literally 'bite' into the rim shoulders. Benifits of Tufo's tubular clincher tyres: high inflation pressures - up to 15 bars (220 psi) without any damage to the rim walls, even in a case when the rim manufacturer specifies lower inflation pressures (the pressure is contained inside the tubular clincher and does not affect the rim wall), same riding quality as with tubular tyres, safe handling in case of punctures (the stability of a rider is not affected), the tubular clincher can be ridden when flat, and the fastest and easiest installation and dismantling without any tools.
