Another very important innovation of the Crono Mag is the frame, with its compass structure that allows it to move the load on the resistance unit in function of the weight and the position of the athlete, differently from what happens with a classic kind of frame, where such load is pre-determined by a constant load mechanic system. The comparative tests carried out in the laboratories of the Mechanical Engineering Dept. of Padua's University show that on a road race the power expressed by the athlete is connected also to the weight and the position of the athlete as it happens only by using hometrainers that have a Crono frame. It is not necessary anymore to regulate the pressure of the roller of the resistance unit on the tire or connect and disconnect the unit before and after the training. This system allows the rear wheel of the bike of any dimension to lean on the roller of the resistance unit automatically with the weight of the bike itself and the cyclist, moreover the slightly flexible system reduces the effect on bike's frame and simulates more accurately the feeling of a road race.
